Abstract

This paper examines the origin and characteristics of the Chilean presidential regime, approaching it through the study of constitutional laws 1828, 1925 and 1980, including the most important aspects of the political, electionary results and major constitutional reforms in recent decades have affected the presidential institution. It ends with aset of critiques and proposals of presidential regime.
