Abstract

The author proposes a new perspective for understanding the American constitutional history: a story that starts from the actors and ordinary people involved in that frame. This distinguishes three stages that make up the story of the constitutional history of the American countries: the Latin peoples characterized by service to the king, the vassal, the manifold constitution of political community and the state court, then the people of Latin built under the ideas of the Enlightenment, written constitutions and democratic equality, and finally America, matches, a period in which the party trumps class citizen decision reducing the electorate turn.
