Abstract

The Revista de Psicología, in this thematic section, hopes to contribute to the debate and discussion through three articles that explore different aspects: on the one hand, how the coup d'état and the civil-military dictatorship impacted on the forms of government that were being forged at the University of Chile, particularly in the Department of Psychology; on the other hand, and from the perspective of psychologists graduated or in training between 1973 and 1990 in Chile, on the ethical-political implications of the practice of torture advised by psychology professionals in dictatorial times; and finally, in the field of the transmission of trauma from the experience of Chilean women in exile in Europe.
